Layering your jewelry is one of the easiest ways to personalize your style and differ your everyday look. There are no two types of stacks that are similar when it comes to layering. Each piece has their own uniqueness which can be put together with other pieces to radiate a mood or a story.
There are no rules in fashion! But here are some tips and tricks to make jewelry layering easier for starters:

Check your neckline!
The first thing you have to know is what type of neckline your outfit creates. From there, we will fill up the missing pieces. For instance, if you are wearing a button-down shirt, or anything that creates a V- neckline, eye catching pieces are your go-to base. This will be your “focal- point”, and then you can start working on stacking from there using smaller pieces.
If we will work on a crew neckline (round neckline), it would be better to leave a space either above or below. It will not look good if you choose pieces that are too close to the hemline. Always remember that jewelry leads the eye on where to focus, so if you have a piece that is close to your crew neckline, it will make your neck appear shorter.
Pair Similar Thickness
As a general rule, you should pair light jewelry with light jewelry, and thick jewelry with thick jewelry. Of course, this can be tweaked, but it looks better this way. If you are working with thick pieces, always make sure that there is a distance between them. For an example, if you choose to wear a long thick earing, it is better to go with a long thick necklace.

Balance, Balance, and BALANCE!
Try to keep things balanced as possible, to avoid having “too much” going on. If you are wearing something thicker, try to go thinner in other departments. For an instance, if you have a chunky necklace, try to go with lighter earrings and rings.
Consider the fabric!
If you are wearing a printed top, try to layer less necklaces on top of it. Instead, it would be better if you just try to fill the empty space. Basically, you have to aim having everything look good together, and not make it seem like there are a lot of things going on at once.
